Fearshot: Phantom Mansion turns every shot in a shooter game into a bet.

WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao, Oct. 28, 2026 /CNW/ -- The first-person shooter has been one of gaming's most popular formats. Now it is coming to the casino. Fearshot: Phantom Mansion, built by Joy Studios and launching exclusively on Cloudbet, is the first of what the companies call Immersive World Betting: casino games where players move through a 3D world and every choice in that world is a bet.

Casino games have long been built around watching: reels spin, a ball settles, and even instant games like Plinko and Aviator come down to one decision and a short wait. Immersive World Betting borrows from video games instead, giving players a space to move through and targets to aim at.

In Fearshot, players explore a haunted mansion in first person, armed with the Phantom Blaster. Every ghost carries a multiplier. Hit it, and the multiplier applies to the stake; miss, and the stake is lost. Bigger targets pay more: the Inquisitor pays 350x when brought down, and Sister Penance's seven Bailiffs each hold prizes of up to 50x.

"We're moving in a direction where you don't just sit and spin a slot," said Will Cordry, Games Product Manager at Joy Studios. "You take part in the action, you move through space, and you're immersed in the world you're betting in."

New tools, AI among them, let small studios build 3D worlds far faster, which Cordry expects to bring "a lot more of this new breed of game."

"Our players grew up in first-person worlds. Now they can bet in one," said a spokesperson for Cloudbet. "This is the first Immersive World Betting game, and it won't be the last."

Cloudbet is marking the launch with two leaderboard events, Open House and The Haunting Hour on Halloween, with USDT prize pools totalling $26,500.
