GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Clarecast, a predictive intelligence platform headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, today announced it will co-host an interactive panel with Grand Valley State University (GVSU) and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce during Tech Week Grand Rapids 2026.

Two of West Michigan's most respected institutions are using AI and predictive intelligence in unprecedented ways that are changing what's possible for the students and businesses they serve. This session brings together leaders from GVSU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Center for Experiential Learning and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce to talk honestly about what they were trying to solve, what changed when they had better information, and what it means for West Michigan's workforce and economy.

The presentation, "GVSU & GR Chamber: How Leadership Is Putting AI & Predictive Intelligence To Work," will take place at the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 from 9am to 10am ET. Led by Clarecast CEO and co-founder Bradley Taylor, the hour-long panel features Dr. Deborah Herrington, Ph.D., Director, the Center for Community and Experiential Engagement, Grand Valley State University; Dr. Dana Hebreard, assistant director of the Center for Community and Experiential Engagement at GVSU; and Andy Johnston, senior vice president of strategic initiatives at the Grand Rapids Chamber.

The Clarecast platform scans 18M+ company records, 300M+ employment profiles, and 1.8M+ active job postings, delivering headcount forecasts with 80%+ accuracy, giving organizations forward-looking intelligence, and allowing them to plan with clarity and predict with confidence.

"Most AI that is being deployed is pointed inward, in the form of efficiency gains, better emails, etc. Clarecast is leveraging external data to look outward and get ahead of it. It's exciting to see how GVSU and the GR Chamber have embraced this thinking for the betterment of those they serve and West Michigan," said Bradley Taylor, CEO and Co-Founder of Clarecast.

The session covers specific applications across higher education and civic leadership. Dr. Herrington uses platform data to evaluate alumni career paths and develop academic programs that align with hiring requirements.

"Connecting classroom instruction directly to regional labor market demand requires clear, current data," Herrington said. "Accessing live employer requirements allows us to ensure the relevancy of our coursework and ensure our graduates are prepared to meet industry needs."

From a civic leadership perspective, Johnston will outline how the Grand Rapids Chamber monitors business health signals and industry dynamics across its network of more than 2,500 member organizations to target support services.

"Through our recent experience with Clarecast, we're learning to read the signals that tell us what our members need, so we can deliver the right content and connections at the right time, before they ask," Johnston said. "That's the kind of member experience we're building toward, and I'm excited to talk about it at GR Tech Week 2026."
